Are you planning to take an Orlando Vacation and just take your family away for some fun and sun? Well, we can tell you that any good vacation starts with picking out the right accommodations for you. Most people have to work on budgets, which is ironic because vacations are about getting away from work.
Silly wordplay aside, choosing the right hotel for your Orlando Vacation can mean a whole world of difference. It does not nearly mean as much to have fun at the theme parks only to go back to a grubby motel room, right? You might be asking though – how can you tell which hotels are good in the Orlando area?
Well, this is where Disney can help out. Yes, the very same Disney that owns the famous characters Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and so on. Orlando plays host to Walt Disney World Resort, a theme park complex with its own hotels and attractions. However, not everyone wants to stay in the on-site hotels. Even then, Disney lends a helping hand by informing visitors which hotels are good by giving them the Disney Good Neighbor Hotel seal of approval.
Disney Good Neighbor Hotels are basically hotels that are not on-site, and are not directly affiliated with the Disney corporate entity, but nevertheless get a seal of approval. This is not just some marketing gimmick, as these hotels have to pass inspections and various tests to ensure their quality, and the value of the Good Neighbor seal.
Staying in such a hotel can make your
Orlando Vacation a reality. One such recommended hotel is the Comfort Suites Maingate East, which was TripAdvisor.com’s 2008 winner in the Best for Families category. It has 185 one-room suites and 13 two-room suites – not a whole lot, so booking early is a very good idea. Located in the Old Town complex, it is flanked by many establishments for fun and dining. It’s only 2 miles from the Disney complex, and just a short hop away from the Universal Studios, SeaWorld, and Wet & Wild complexes.
Another member of the set of
Disney Good Neighbor Hotels is the Seralogo Hotel & Suites Main Gate East. This is also a very family-friendly – and budget-friendly – hotel that works out great if you are planning to go to the theme parks. At 3 miles away from the Disney resort, it is very accessible and convenient. Of course, there’s also the Universal Studios Florida resort, and the free scheduled shuttle can take you there too.
Of course, if you want to get really close to the fun, then you can pick out a hotel from one of the nearly two-dozen hotels in the Disney complex itself. These on-site accommodations vary in size and cost, but they are all comfortable. Many of them also have themes that define their style, like Frontier, Beach, Yacht Club, Boardwalk, Movies, Sports, Music, and more. What’s more magical than actually staying in the theme park complex?
Don’t forget to book early for guaranteed accommodation and discounts!
